About
Lined with palaces, churches and university buildings, the street forms the first stretch of the Royal Route between the castle and Wilanów. Chopin lived and played nearby, his heart is kept in a pillar of Holy Cross Church, and the Presidential Palace and University of Warsaw face the pavement.
Best time to go: Walk south from Castle Square on a weekend, when parts of the street are closed to traffic.
