About

Built on the site of the pre-war Jewish district and wartime ghetto, POLIN opened in 2013 opposite the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes. Its core exhibition traces Jewish history in Poland from the Middle Ages to the present, including a stunning painted replica of a wooden synagogue roof.

Best time to go: Plan at least three hours for the core exhibition, and do not miss the reconstructed synagogue ceiling.
