About
Piazza Bra opens out just inside the old city walls and is framed by the Arena, the neoclassical town hall of Palazzo Barbieri and the Gran Guardia. Along its western side runs the Liston, a broad pavement of pink marble where the Veronese have taken their evening passeggiata for generations. Gardens and a fountain fill the middle of the square.
Best time to go: Stroll the Liston promenade in the early evening, when the cafés fill up and the Arena is lit.
