About
Agostino Giusti laid out this garden behind his family palace in the late sixteenth century, and it has remained remarkably true to that design. Formal parterres and a cypress avenue, replanted after a storm in 2020, lead to grottoes, statues and a stone mask carved into the hillside. A path climbs to a terrace with one of the best views of the city.
Best time to go: Come in the late afternoon and climb to the belvedere for a quiet view over the rooftops.
