About
The Shahi Eid Gah was built in 1735, in the reign of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah, with funds from Nawab Abdul Samad Khan, then governor of Multan. In the early British period it served as a court, before being restored to worship in 1891. Its prayer chamber runs 250 feet long beneath seven domes, the exterior is faced with blue glazed tiles and the interior carries intricate mosaics.
Best time to go: Visit outside prayer times and dress modestly; the morning light suits the tiled facade.
