About
Construction began in February 1884, after new municipal laws required offices to run the city, and the building opened in 1888. It rose over the ruins of the haveli of Ahmad Khan Sadozai, destroyed during the siege of Multan. The hall and tower were named after the viceroys Ripon and Northbrook, and after 1947 the hall became Jinnah Hall. Its three clocks were repaired and restarted in 2011.
Best time to go: Use it as the starting point for a walk into the old city bazaars.
