About

The National Museum opened on 31 August 1963 and covers Malaysian history, art and culture. Its facade mixes traditional Malay elements with modern features, and the three-storey building is more than 100 metres long. Four main galleries cover ethnology and natural history, with tableaux showing cultural events such as weddings. It sits on Jalan Damansara near the Perdana Botanical Gardens and KL Sentral station.

Best time to go: Pair it with the Perdana Botanical Gardens, which lie just across the road.
