About
Established in 1888, the Perdana Botanical Gardens were Kuala Lumpur's first large-scale recreational park. The gardens were long known as the Lake Gardens and served as a retreat from the colonial town. Today they cover 91.6 hectares of landscaped lawns, lakes and planted beds right in the heart of the city. Several museums and the National Mosque lie on its edges.
Best time to go: Walk here early in the morning, when joggers are out and the air is still cool.
