About
One of the oldest museums in Belgium, the MSK spans work from the Middle Ages to the early twentieth century. Highlights include Hieronymus Bosch's Christ Carrying the Cross and paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck and the Belgian modernists. The museum also hosts restoration work on panels of the Ghent Altarpiece.
Best time to go: Combine a visit with a walk in the surrounding Citadel Park and a stop at S.M.A.K. across the lawn.
