About
For centuries grain brought up the river Leie was traded here, making the Korenmarkt one of the busiest places in medieval Ghent. Today it is a central meeting point surrounded by cafés, with St Nicholas' Church at one end and the grand former post office building on its western side, a short step from the Graslei and St Michael's Bridge.
Best time to go: Pause here between the Graslei and St Nicholas' Church and take in the busy heart of the old town.
