About
Set in and around an eighteenth-century town house close to the Graslei, the Design Museum traces the history of furniture, objects and interiors. Its collection ranges from Baroque rooms to Belgian art nouveau, including work associated with Henry van de Velde, and on to contemporary design, and it stages changing exhibitions on design today.
Best time to go: Check which galleries are open before you go, as the museum has been expanding and renovating its buildings.
