About
The present church was begun in 1499 on the site of an older Norman cathedral. Its west front shows angels climbing ladders to heaven, and inside the fan vaulting and huge windows fill the nave with light. A guided climb up the tower reveals the bell chamber and the clock face.
Best time to go: Take the tower tour for a view over the rooftops and the bells, then explore the nave.
