About
Opened in the 1960s, the museum was funded partly by the sale of votive tablets found at Wat Ratchaburana. Its highlight is the gold room, with regalia, jewellery and relics discovered in the crypts of Wat Ratchaburana and Wat Mahathat, alongside fine Buddha images and carvings.
Best time to go: Visit in the heat of the day, after touring the ruins, to see the gold treasures they once held.
