The Niederdorf fills the old town between the Grossmünster and the Central square with narrow lanes, guild houses and small squares. The pedestrian Niederdorfstrasse is lined with bars, cafés and traditional restaurants, while quieter streets above it hold antiquarian bookshops and artisan boutiques.
