About
Laid out in the 1860s over a filled-in city moat, Bahnhofstrasse became the showcase of Zurich's banking wealth. Its tree-lined length holds luxury boutiques, jewellers and watchmakers, as well as the headquarters of major banks, and it ends at Bürkliplatz on the shore of Lake Zurich.
Best time to go: Walk from the main station down to the lake, window-shopping under the lime trees.
