About

Founded in 1655 and later directed by Carl Linnaeus, the garden was where he taught students and developed his system of classifying plants. It has been replanted according to his own plans, and his home on the site is a museum of his life and family.

Best time to go: Come on a summer morning, when the beds are in full flower.
