About
Built in the early seventeenth century, the Gustavianum was the university's main building. Its domed anatomical theatre, added in the 1660s by Olof Rudbeck, is a steep wooden oval where public dissections once took place, and the museum also displays the Augsburg Art Cabinet and Viking-age finds.
Best time to go: Head straight up to the anatomical theatre under the dome, then see the Augsburg Art Cabinet.
