About
Founded in 1900, the gallery holds a broad collection from European old masters to contemporary work. It is especially strong in Canadian painting, including the Group of Seven, and in Indigenous art. Frank Gehry, who grew up nearby, remodelled the building in 2008, adding the timber and glass Galleria Italia and a spiral staircase.
Best time to go: Walk the curving wooden Galleria Italia, then seek out the Group of Seven landscapes.
