About
Insadong has been known for antiques and art since the late nineteenth century, and its main street and alleys remain the best place in Seoul for traditional crafts. Look for hanji paper, ceramics, calligraphy brushes and teas, and visit the spiralling Ssamziegil complex of small shops.
Best time to go: Wander in the afternoon and stop at a traditional tea house in one of the side alleys.
