About
Here British forces under James Wolfe defeated the French under the Marquis de Montcalm in 1759, a turning point in the history of North America. Both commanders were mortally wounded. Today the battlefield is a spacious urban park with lawns, gardens and Martello towers, used for concerts and festivals.
Best time to go: Walk here on a fine afternoon, following the paths along the cliff edge above the river.
