About

Built in the late nineteenth century and named after the Governor General Lord Dufferin, the terrace runs along the cliff above the Lower Town. Its pavilions and lamps frame views over the river to Lévis and the Île d'Orléans. Beneath the boardwalk lie the excavated remains of the Saint-Louis forts and château.

Best time to go: Stroll the boardwalk in the evening, and in winter try the toboggan run at its southern end.
