About
King Louis IX built the chapel in the 1240s to house the Crown of Thorns. Its upper chapel has 15 windows, each around 15 metres high, telling over a thousand biblical scenes in glass. Book a timed ticket to avoid long queues.
Best time to go: A sunny morning, when the stained glass is at its most brilliant.
