About
Created in 1612 for Marie de' Medici, the garden surrounds the palace that now houses the French Senate. Parisians come to read, play chess and rent little sailboats on the octagonal pond. The Medici Fountain is a shaded corner.
Best time to go: Any sunny afternoon; grab one of the green metal chairs.
