About
Home of the Melbourne Cricket Club since 1853, the ground hosted the first Test match in 1877 and the main events of the 1956 Olympic Games. It holds around a hundred thousand spectators for the Australian Football League grand final and the Boxing Day Test, and it houses the Australian Sports Museum.
Best time to go: Catch a football or cricket match if you can; otherwise take a stadium tour on a non-match day.
