About
This museum is a modern reconstruction of the Malacca Sultanate's palace, based on descriptions in the Malay Annals. It is built from hardwood with a belian wood roof, held together with wooden pegs instead of nails. Construction began in 1984 and the museum opened on 17 July 1986. It stands at the foot of St Paul's Hill and presents the court life of the sultanate.
Best time to go: Visit after St Paul's Hill, which rises directly behind the museum.
