About
The palace dates back to the fifteenth century, but Empress Maria Theresa gave it much of its present look in the eighteenth. Its highlight is the Giant Hall, lined with portraits of the imperial family, and the apartments include rooms furnished for Empress Elisabeth.
Best time to go: Visit in the afternoon and follow it with a walk in the Hofgarten next door.
