About
Emperor Maximilian I had the oriel added around 1500 so that he and his court could watch festivities in the square below. Its roof glitters with some 2,600 fire-gilded copper tiles, and carved reliefs show the emperor with his two wives; a small museum inside tells his story.
Best time to go: See it in the morning light from the end of the old town street, then visit the small museum inside.
