About
Laid out in the early 1980s, the plaza runs for several blocks through the historic centre. Along the way are fountains, cafés and public sculpture, including the Immolation of Quetzalcoatl by Víctor Manuel Contreras, before the promenade ends at the great facade of the Hospicio Cabañas.
Best time to go: Stroll it at dusk from the theatre to the Hospicio, when fountains and families fill the long promenade.
