About

Less known than Boboli but more intimate, the Bardini Garden climbs from the Oltrarno towards Forte di Belvedere. A grand baroque staircase runs up the middle, and at the top a pergola of wisteria frames the city. The villa above has a small museum and a café terrace.

Best time to go: Mid-April to early May, when the wisteria tunnel is in bloom.
