About

Giorgio Vasari built the corridor in a few months in 1565 so Cosimo I could move between his palaces without mixing with the public. It runs for about 750 metres above the streets and across the roofline of Ponte Vecchio. After a long restoration it reopened in December 2024, visited on a timed ticket combined with the Uffizi.

Best time to go: Book well ahead; entry is by timed ticket in small numbers.
