About

The loggia was built in the mid-1500s for traders in silk and luxury goods, and stalls still fill it today. On one side is the Porcellino, a bronze wild boar fountain after a seventeenth-century original. Tradition says rubbing its snout and dropping a coin from its mouth means you will return to Florence.

Best time to go: Any time; rub the boar's snout on the way past.
