About

The Medici and their successors collected scientific instruments as well as art, and this museum displays their collection: astrolabes, globes, clocks and early thermometers. The star exhibits are two telescopes made by Galileo and the lens through which he discovered Jupiter's moons.

Best time to go: Any afternoon; a good break from painting-heavy museums.
