About
Housed in a Victorian building with a domed rotunda on Kildare Street, the museum displays some of the finest early medieval metalwork in Europe. Highlights include the Ardagh Chalice and the Tara Brooch, dazzling Bronze Age gold, and remarkably preserved Iron Age bodies recovered from Irish bogs.
Best time to go: Head for the Treasury and the bog bodies first, then explore the Viking galleries.
