About
Chashma-Ayub means 'Job's Well', after a legend that the prophet Job struck the ground here with his staff and a spring appeared. The water is still thought to be pure and healing. The present building dates from the reign of Timur. Its conical dome, in the style of Khwarezm, is uncommon in Bukhara, and the mausoleum stands close to the Samanid Mausoleum.
Best time to go: Combine it with the Samanid Mausoleum nearby, ideally in the morning.
