About
Christophe Plantin founded one of the leading printing and publishing houses of Renaissance Europe here, and the Moretus family continued it for three centuries. The complex keeps the oldest surviving printing presses in the world, type foundries, a magnificent library and period rooms. The complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Best time to go: Go on a quiet weekday morning and linger in the print room with its historic presses.
