About
The Royal Museum of Fine Arts occupies a grand late nineteenth-century building in the Zuid district. After a renovation lasting more than a decade, it reopened in 2022 with a hidden modern museum inside the old one. The collection runs from Flemish Primitives and Rubens to the largest holding of works by James Ensor.
Best time to go: Give it a half day and see both the historic galleries and the bright white modern wing.
