About
Built between the mid-fourteenth and early sixteenth centuries, the cathedral's north tower rises to about 123 metres and has dominated the skyline ever since. Inside hang four masterpieces by Peter Paul Rubens, including The Elevation of the Cross and The Descent from the Cross, which have inspired generations of visitors.
Best time to go: Allow time in front of Rubens's altarpieces and look up at the soaring north tower as you leave.
