About
Completed in 1631, the Westerkerk was built for the Reformed faith and has a light, spacious interior. Rembrandt was buried here, although his grave is unmarked, and the tower crowned with the imperial crown of Maximilian is mentioned in the diary of Anne Frank, who could hear its bells.
Best time to go: Climb the tower for a view over the canal ring; groups are small, so book ahead.
