About
Opened in 1890, the funicular climbs a short, steep slope in about a minute. It is one of the oldest forms of public transport in the city and brings passengers up next to the Lotrščak Tower. Its small cabins still run on the original route, and the ride is a charming introduction to Gradec, the historic hilltop town.
Best time to go: Ride it up to the Upper Town, then walk back down through the old streets.
