About
Founded by the Jesuits in 1702, the university's main building stretches along the riverbank. Its ceremonial Aula Leopoldina is a dazzle of frescoes, gilding and sculpture, and the Oratorium Marianum and Mathematical Tower complete the museum route.
Best time to go: See the Aula Leopoldina and climb to the Mathematical Tower for the view over the river.
