Peggy Guggenheim bought this unfinished palazzo on the Grand Canal in 1949 and lived here with her collection and her dogs. Today it shows Cubist, Surrealist and Abstract Expressionist works, and her sculpture garden.
Best time to go: Any time it is open; closed on Tuesdays.
