About
Venice vowed to build this church during the plague of 1630, and Baldassare Longhena's great domed design became a landmark of the city's skyline. Each November Venetians still cross a temporary bridge of boats to visit it.
Best time to go: Late afternoon, and 21 November for the Festa della Salute.
