About
The cathedral was begun in the early twelfth century, and its Romanesque nave was later joined by a Gothic choir after a fire. Inside, the ornate baroque pulpit and memorial tablets stand out against the plain stone. It gives the city its historic heart, overlooking the town square and the lake.
Best time to go: Step inside to see the carved pulpit, then walk along the Breiavatnet lake just behind it.
