About
Ledaal was built in the early 1800s for the wealthy Kielland family, whose best-known member, the writer Alexander Kielland, spent time here. The house keeps its elegant rooms, furniture and portraits. It also serves as the royal family's residence when they visit the city, and its gardens are open to walk.
Best time to go: Join a summer guided tour to see the period rooms, which also serve as the royal residence in Stavanger.
