About
The Sharjah Art Museum moved into its current building in 1997, under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah. It is one of the leading art institutions in the Gulf. Its collection focuses on modern and contemporary art from the UAE and the wider Middle East, and it runs temporary exhibitions and educational events.
