About
Formerly the Archaeological Museum, this is the country's leading collection of antiquities, running from prehistoric tools to Islamic-era finds. Its treasures are the bronzes excavated at Volubilis and other Roman sites, including a celebrated head of the Mauretanian king Juba II and a lifelike bronze dog.
Best time to go: Go straight to the Roman bronzes, then work back through the prehistoric and Islamic galleries.
