About
The first Christian churches here date back to the late fourth and early fifth centuries, and the building has been enlarged and rebuilt many times since. Its Renaissance façade and separate bell tower, built partly with stone taken from the arena, stand at the foot of the fortress hill.
Best time to go: Step inside on a morning walk along the harbour, then look out for the Roman stones in its walls.
