About
The Forum has been the civic heart of Pula since Roman times. On its northern side the Communal Palace, begun in the late thirteenth century, incorporates the rear wall of a second Roman temple, and its patchwork of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance stonework still houses the city government.
Best time to go: Sit on the Forum with a coffee in the evening, when the stone glows and the square fills.
