About
Once one of about ten gates in the walls of Roman Pula, the Porta Gemina has two arches set between carved pilasters. It stands beside the Archaeological Museum of Istria, and from here paths lead up to the hilltop Venetian fortress with its views over the harbour.
Best time to go: Pass through on your way up the hill towards the Venetian fortress above the old town.
