About
The Franciscans arrived in Pula early in the thirteenth century, and their church was completed in 1314. Its simple single nave, carved portal and rose window are rare survivals of the period, and the cloister alongside holds Roman and medieval stone fragments.
Best time to go: Seek out the Gothic cloister, a quiet refuge on a hot afternoon.
